About the Program
Imagine spending two years on six continents in more than
50 countries while learning to speak four languages and being immersed in a whole
variety of cultures with like-minded students who want to do substantial good in the world.
1st Stop: 5-Week Boot Camp in Scotland
Here is where you will get your full immersion into the French language and culture while also taking trips to Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland, among other destinations.
2nd Stop: 15 Weeks in France
After a three-week respite back home, you will fly to Uruguay to be immersed in speaking Spanish and the culture, history, arts, and religious traditions of the peoples of South and Central America. During this time, you will spend time in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Costa Rica.
3rd Stop: 15 Weeks in South America
After a three-week respite back home, you will fly to Uruguay to be immersed in speaking Spanish and the culture, history, arts, and religious traditions of the peoples of South and Central America. During this time, you will spend time in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Costa Rica.
4th Stop: 15 Weeks in China
The significance of China's rise in the world cannot be underestimated. Knowing this culture and language will be invaluable for future leaders. After another trip home, you will learn the Mandarin tongue and unlock the mysteries and richness of Chinese culture, religion, history, and art. During this period, you will also spend time in neighboring South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and a few weeks in Australia.
5th Stop: 15 Weeks in the Middle East & India
One of the most populous countries on Earth, India is a wealth of cultural and linguistic diversity and beauty. After another trip back home, you will fly to the Middle East and India to learn Arabic and see much of the Middle East and southeastern Asia, including Cairo, Morocco, Dubai, Jerusalem, Jakarta, Singapore, Indonesia, Nepal, Thailand, and more. The cultural and religious understanding you will gain from this residency will be worth it all!
6th Stop: 15 Weeks in Africa
Africa is one of the fastest-growing regions of the world and is becoming an important economic growth spot for the next half century. It has so much history, culture, and religious influence being exported all over the world. Here is where you will revisit your four new languages while you experience Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and/or several others.
